ACR News Awards 2024: The winners announced

The ACR News Awards 2024 took place on the 18 April at the Plaisterers' Hall, London, with Sir Tony Robinson presiding.

The glittering award ceremony began with the award for Training Provider of the Year which was won by Meridian RACHP Training. The next category was the Trainee of the Year and that was awarded to Shawni Dunn from Cool Designs. 

The third category of the evening was Environmental Initiative of the Year for which Air Pro by Sensibo took home the trophy. The Diversity, Equality and Initiative Award was awarded to the IOR Women in RACHP. 

Next in the award programme was the Industry Initiative of the Year which was won by Area Cooling Solutions for its Areacademy and virtual reality training tool. The winner for Community Initiative Award was awarded to A-Gas.

Humidity Control Product of the year came next, and the winner was the Vapac V E Electrode Boiler from Humidity Solutions. Taking home their second trophy, Humidity Solution, was also awarded Humidity Control Project of the year for their Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine & Humidity Solutions project. 

After this was the Refrigeration Project of the year which was won by G&O Refrigeration and Bitzer UK for their Lee Valley Ice Centre. The next category was the Refrigeration Product of the year which was awarded to Energy Recovery for it's PX G1300. 

Moving on, we came to the Chiller of the Year, this was won by the AMChill from KGM Refrigeration and Bitzer UK. Swegon, took home first prize for Commercial Air Source Heat Pump of the Year with their BlueBox Omicron Zero. 

Up next, Domestic Air Source Heat Pump of the Year, this saw Panasonic Heating and Cooling winning gold for their Aquarea R290 L Series Air-to-water Heat Pump. Air Conditioning Project of the Year quickly followed, which was won by CIAT, while the IdroFan 36XH Hybrid Hydronic Terminal from Carrier won Air Conditioning Product of the Year.

Next was Accessory of the year, which was awarded to the Glaciär Midi from SAMON. Cool Designs, took home the following trophy for the Wholesaler/ Distributor of the Year. The Technical Support Engineer of the Year, swiftly followed and was awarded to Pete Bradley from Cool Designs. While Humidity Solutions, took home Technical Support Team of the Year. The Customer Service Team of the Year accolade was won by Smith Brothers Stores.

The final award of the evening celebrates the unsung heroes of our industry. The prestigious Alan Moor Award was awarded to John Skelton.

The event was rounded off with dancing and networking at the After Party.
